Thanks
Simon Gill:
Dear Z70 organisers,
Home safe and sound after a fantastic weekend in the company of all Halley Fids, partners and families.
Thank you so much for what has been a unforgettable, rewarding and interesting weekend. Loved the talks, a great mixture of science, tech and ops. The food last night was delicious and topped off by great speeches and catching up with old friends and acquaintances.
Stay safe and hopefully do it again in another 10 years time.
Kind regards. Simon
John Jennings:
I echo Simon’s praise and sentiments.

All the best and hopefully see you all soon.

Well said Simon, absolutely brilliant evening, and so lovely to catch up with a few mates I haven't seen for a very long time!

David Earle:
Z70 was excellent, good talks, good hotel, and great Halley people. I am sure it takes a lot to organise and set up, and it was really done well.
Z75 sounds like a good idea and I would come!
Thanks to you and the committee, superb job all round
David.
Dale Heaton:
75 is and excellent idea??
Also just to add, the Z70 was a fabulous occasion, so pleased pass on thanks to all those organisers who put a lot of hard work and time into making
it a thoroughly brilliant weekend.
Roger Tiffin:
75 is and excellent idea??
I agree it would be a good idea to have Z75. 2036 seems a long way off!
Thank you (and the committee) for the excellent job you did last weekend - a very enjoyable event!
Mike Pinnock:
Dear Z70 organisers,
That was a great weekend, thanks for all your work and especially setting up the range of talks on Saturday. I’d forgotten all about the John Dawson film and it had me gulping hard at times!
Roger Daynes:
Hi Winkle,
Now the dust has settled, for me at any rate, thanks so much to your good self and the committee for a great weekend last.
Although I am in touch with others by email, there are rarely occasions to meet in person, so thank you. I’ll try and make it to Z75.
Incidentally, it maybe time to pension off the Halley 2 film?
All the very best,
Roger.
James Broadway:
Tony and all the team
Many thanks for the organisation of last weekend. It was an excellent occasion and I know appreciated by all who attended.
The talks on the Saturday were all fascinating - especially the automation of the Halley science.
I have been rather saddened by the fact that no one now winters there as we had such an amazing and interesting experience
but I now understand that really if the science can be done remotely then that is what should be done.
My research would no longer be possible as it depended on people and being there for a whole year!
Very much looking forward to Z 75 - have you some new volunteers?

Chris Gostick:
A rather belated note to thank you and the team for putting on yet another great get-together last weekend.
Apart from the hotel looking as though it wasn't going to be able to cope on Friday afternoon and evening,
which was nothing to do with you and the team, I know, it eventually pulled out all the stops and came up trumps.
I thought all the speakers were excellent, and gave a fascinating idea of how so much has changed while still remaining the same.
For some of us 2036 seems like a long shot, so a 75er in 2031 seems a better bet, if anyone is up to all the hard work involved in running these things.
Meantime, a link to the Saturday evening photographer would be appreciated.
Thanks again and with every good wish,
Chris
Bob Wells:
May I be the 136th person to say thank you. A great weekend.
P.S. I am more likely to get to Z75 than Z80.
Denis Wilkins:
Great job. Please pass on my thanks to the committee - couldn’t have enjoyed it more.
Food was good, maître de amusing and made us so welcome, programme riveting and you your usual irreverent self, holding it all together with aplomb.
I know how much work goes into these things and I hope you appreciate how much the occasion meant to all of us.
Hasta la next time
Regards
Denis "Doc Crippen"
David Mayfield:
Thanks again for all your efforts with the reunion, it was great to meet everyone and hear their stories.
Pete Davies:
What a brilliant weekend mate. Thoroughly enjoyed catching up with everyone.
Can't praise you all enough for arranging and sorting out everything.
Well done.
Thanks again to everyone, for all the hard work that went into making the weekend such a success. It really was appreciated.
Ian Bury:
Please pass my thanks on to the Z 70 organisers
for an excellent reunion, It really was first class.
David ("Fanny") and Margaret Hill:
Congratulations and our thanks for a very special reunion. The hotel was great and looked after us remarkably well considering our number and other events going on in the hotel.
Saturday night dinner was delicious and extremely well served.
Huge thanks to you and your team for all you arranged to make this happen, the attention to detail was very much appreciated.
The lectures were excellent and it was great to catch up on all that is still going on down south.
We hope now you have time relax once you've 'put it to bed'.
We also hope and pray we shall be able to make another one some years from now!!
Russ & Lucy Wigley:
Now that we have arrived home, we just wanted to say thank you to you and the rest of the organisers for a very enjoyable and interesting Z70 weekend.
It's a lot of work to get everyone together, and we really appreciated everything that was donate make the weekend a success.
The chances to meet old friends are fewer and further between, and it was lovely to see faces that we haven’t seen for years; as well getting a chance to meet some newer and less familiar people and hear their stories too.
Diolch fawr a phob hwyl.
