We had the pleasure at staying at both the German and Norwegian stations- for all zfids I have included a picture of the Halley bar sign at Neumayer held by JD (the Neumayer sign sits in our bar) and one of the emperors at Neumayer for a trip down memory lane re: the old colony at Halley- I'm told it's very similar. The Halley 6 working season is upon us. The flag was raised by Archie Perry on the left of the picture, and the flag will be taken down at the end of the season by the most senior member of the team. The base is now a hive of activity- with vehicles pushing snow, field guides marking the perimeter with flags, and weather balloons and science data being sent out by our science team. It feels great to have life being breathed back into the station after a long winter. Here's to a great season.
