I was sorting out my loft the other day and came across a map that was produced after a trip to the Gin Bottle caboose in October 1992. The members on the trip were: Derek Mason (Field Guide), Charlie Robb (Met Man), Mike Lawton (Genny Mech) and myself (AIS Phys).[25 October 2007]We had great fun naming the various features we discovered, I think we were the first to visit the area that year and so we saw it as our duty to map the place.
Here's the map; some of it could be viewed as slightly rude, but thats life. (Liz was my girlfriend and Julia was Mike's.)
I don't think the names made it past the Antarctic Placenames Committee :-) -- Ed.
